Join us for a community screening of "Beyond Extinction: A Sinixt Resurgence" which traces Indigenous matriarchs who revive traditions and fight to save an ancient burial ground in BC’s Slocan Valley. Declared “extinct” by the Indian Act, the film documents their intimate living histories and their decades long struggle for recognition.

This screening will take place on May 23 at 7:00 pm in the MJM&AG Theatre. There will be a Q&A event to follow the screening with filmmaker Ali Kazimi and moderator, Lori Deets.
This event will be presented by Moose Jaw Museum & Art Gallery in partnership with the Wakamow Aboriginal Community Association and the Moose Jaw Public Library.
