Dedicated primarily to chamber music, violinist Jean-Samuel Bez performs over 100 concerts annually worldwide (Europe, North America, China...). He passionately engages in the realm of
contemporary creation and enjoys exploring unconventional paths.

Since 2016, he has been a member of Trio Spilliaert, with whom he recorded a complete collection of Désiré Pâque's trios (2021, Cyprès), followed by a second album dedicated to Jacqueline Fontyn (2022, Cybele). He also pursues a Franco-Canadian duo project with pianist Jean-Luc Therrien, releasing their debut album "Fantaisies" (2022, Klarthe). Additionally, he collaborates with guitarist Raphaël Béreau, forming a duo in Vienna, Austria. In a completely different domain, he collaborates with the Icelandic band Arstiđir. Their album "Nivalis" (2018) received recognition as the Best Indie/Alt Rock Album at the Independent Music Awards.

Having won numerous prizes and international competitions, including the 1st Prize at the Luigi Zanuccoli International Competition (Italy, 2017), he studied under Igor Volochine, Pavel Vernikov, and Véronique Bogaerts before completing his studies at the Universität für Musik u. d. Kunst Wien with Michael Frischenschlager.
