Winner of seven Academy Awards including Best Picture, The Bridge on the River Kwai is one of the most engaging and exciting films of 1950s Hollywood. The first great epic from legendary director David Lean, it is the story of a POW camp in 1940s Taiwan and the circumstances surrounding the building of a strategic bridge by the largely British prisoners for their Japanese captors. The film stars Alec Guinness, William Holden, Jack Hawkins, and Sessue Hayakawa. It is a feat of both tremendous storytelling and scale.

Showtime begins at 6:00 pm with room for a discussion afterwards at around 8:40 pm.
